FRANK COCKER BSc, ACA, CA (SA)
HEAD OF FINANCE
Frank graduated with a degree in Mathematics and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloittes in 1976. Frank is also qualified as a South African Chartered Accounted, gained in 1983. Since leaving the profession, Frank has undertaken the role of Finance Director for a number of businesses engaged in areas as diverse as engineering and financial services. Latterly, he was a founding member of a business created in response to the deregulation of the telecommunications industry in the UK (Opal Telecom – now TalkTalk) where he served as a Finance Director. Within the above roles, Frank was mainly focused on the financing of the company and a considerable amount of M&A work as the businesses grew organically and by acquisition. The telecommunications business was sold in 2002 and Frank subsequently stepped down in 2005, since when he has been involved in a number of projects for which he has provided finance and taxation consultancy services.
KEITH JOHNSTON LLB
HEAD OF LEGAL AFFAIRS
Keith is a graduate of London University with a degree in Law. For over 35 years (until retirement from the firm in 2017) Keith was a partner of international law firm, Addleshaw Goddard LLP. He was an elected member of the firm’s Governance Board for many years and, latterly, was instrumental in establishing and was appointed Chairman of the firm’s Middle East practice (based in Dubai, Oman and Qatar). Keith’s professional work as a lawyer focused primarily on the fields of Corporate, Corporate Finance and M&A involving him in a broad range of transactional, advisory and project work, mainly for international and UK quoted companies and also for owner-managed businesses – much of which work had an international element. During his legal career, Keith advised one of the UK’s leading developers and a number of UK public sector bodies on a wide range of major and complex commercial, residential and mixed-use development projects. Keith has also served on the board of a number of private companies in a non-executive capacity and, for eight years (on a part-time basis), as the company secretary and head of legal services of a UK listed manufacturing company. He joined the Board of British Chambers of Commerce in 2020.
CHRIS CHISNALL MRICS, BSc (Hons)
HEAD OF REAL ESTATE
Chris graduated in 2008 from The University of the West of England with a degree in Property Management and Investment. He has subsequently been elected as a professional member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and a Member of the National Landlords Association (both in 2014). Previously Managing Director of North Cheshire Developments Ltd (“NCD”), a property investment, regeneration and development company based in the north west of England, Chris is now the Managing Director of NCD Networks Ltd – a fibre network construction company that is currently involved in a high-paced roll out of fibre networks in the north west of England. During his career to date, Chris has gained considerable experience in procurement, the delivery of development schemes and in managing property and development portfolios across the residential, commercial and leisure sectors.
PAUL IREDALE RICS DipProjMan, BSc (Hons)
HEAD OF PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
Paul graduated in 1986 with a degree in Building Surveying from Liverpool University. The following year, Paul became a chartered member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) before completing an RICS Diploma in Project Management at Reading University in 1988. Paul has many years of experience in property development including being, for 13 years, the Senior Surveyor in the Investment Department of the Co-operative Insurance Society (a major UK insurer) where he oversaw a mixed-use property portfolio of an aggregate value of circa 2.5bn. He is the founder and former Director of Natural Retreats, which is a specialist residential development company providing five-star bespoke new build residential dwellings across the UK. More recently Paul has successfully completed the major refurbishment of a derelict landmark tower block in Liverpool, England and is currently managing the early-stage planning and funding activity for pipeline projects including a 5m new apartment and housing development in Manchester, England.
DAVID IREDALE MBA, MSc, BA (Hons)
HEAD OF PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
David obtained his degree in Business Studies from the University of Central Lancashire in 2006 before earning a master’s degree in Project Management from Lancaster University Management School a year later. He returned to Lancaster University in 2010 to complete his MBA. David is an experienced project manager with a successful track record of defining and leading a variety of projects, including real estate and infrastructure development, process improvement, cost reduction initiatives and business transformational change programs. He has worked with Manchester Airport Group and United Utilities (two of the largest organizations in the north-west of England) in designing and implementing industry best practice program delivery frameworks. He has also recently completed a project for Arrow Global, a listed UK market-leading consumer debt purchaser, supporting the rationalization of third-party collection agencies to a core group of key service providers.
